Behind every PURE Studios leather bag lies a clear ambition: to bring function, aesthetics, and material awareness into balance. Our design process does not begin with form, but with need. What does a bag truly require? What can be removed? We do not design for trends, but for people with intention.
Reduction as a Design Method
For us, reduction does not mean omission - it means precision. Every line, every seam, and every material detail serves a purpose. Our bags are created from a small number of consciously chosen elements. The result is clarity in expression and everyday usability in practice.
Material Shapes the Design
Design begins with the choice of leather. We work exclusively with vegetable-tanned, open-pore leather that shows character rather than concealing it. Material properties directly influence form: softness, structure, stability, and the way patina develops over time. The leather does not adapt to the design - the design adapts to the leather.
Colour Worlds with Depth
Our colour palette follows the same principle of conscious design. Instead of short-lived fashion tones, we choose nuanced colours with longevity and substance. Shades such as cognac, chocolate, and midnight black are complemented by forest green, royal blue, burgundy, and lavender. Each tone is carefully calibrated to remain understated, yet present.

Every new bag passes through several stages - from initial hand sketches and precise prototypes to real-world testing. Does the laptop truly fit? Does the zipper open intuitively? Is the bag still comfortable after hours of use? We design for real life, not for display windows.
Design with Intention
Our designs are developed in Munich by a small, focused team. Instead of producing large collections, we work on a limited number of well-considered models. In close collaboration with certified partner workshops, we create long-lasting products with substance and integrity.
